RIDI Lighting has launched the new MIELA SG - a luminaire tailored to the unique demands of the CIBSE LG3 Office Lighting Standard. This latest evolution of the successful MIELA range delivers improved direct ceiling illuminance and an even spread of light to ensure enhanced performance over comparative products in the marketplace.

Although manufactured in Germany , the MIELA SG has been designed by RIDI in the UK to give consultants and lighting designers a one-stop solution to the LG3 addendum.

The features of the MIELA SG make it an ideal luminaire for any commercial office application. The luminaire has been specifically developed to liberate the office environment from poor light distribution and oppressive shadow patterns. To this end, the design incorporates a new type of parabolic MIRO micro-louvre in the primary reflector that increases the direct light component, whilst achieving enhanced performance and efficiency from a recessed luminaire. The new design also includes an attractive, reeded matt aluminium gull-wing reflector that delivers a uniform spread of vertical illumination, glare-free performance and the highest levels of visual comfort possible.

The MIELA SG has a slimline 60mm body depth making it ideal for installation in shallow ceiling voids. The universal recessed body is compatible with exposed/concealed 'T' as well as plasterboard ceilings and a range of lamp options is available for T5 and TC-L fluorescent lamps.

he range incorporates options for air handling versions for both the T5 and TC-L and an integral 3-hour emergency conversion is also available.
