RIDI LIGHTING has joined forces with the award winning architectural practice, Stride Treglown. As a part of its continued UK expansion, Stride Treglown moved across town earlier this year to its new premises in SE1 and called in lighting experts, RIDI, to help refurbish it.

A selection of products from RIDI’s suspended F-Line and Vision III range of luminaires has been installed, enhancing the working environment. Downlighters and Gimbal products were also supplied to provide accent lighting.

Chris Saxon, senior partner at Stride Treglown was involved in commissioning the installation and commented on the use of RIDI’s lighting systems:

“In an office where people are working on detailed and often complex design work, it is crucial that the lighting makes for a comfortable environment. The combination of both direct and indirect lighting provided by RIDI’s F-Line luminaires ensures that we are not hampered by unnatural shadows and reflections.”

RIDI faced a particular challenge in planning the installation, as it had to be an effective but unobtrusive lighting design, so that the clean and sleek lines of the building’s own character were mirrored. With a profile of just 25mm deep, the F-Line unit is one of the slimmest luminaires on the market. In Stride Treglown’s meeting rooms, RIDI’S new VISION III luminaire was used to provide a change of emphasis. VISION III is an ultra-shallow suspended panel luminaire with a micro-prismatic optic to provide a diffused level of direct and indirect lighting. The luminaires were supplied complete with Philips Acti-Viva daylight tubes to provide a stunning effect.
