Luminaires from RIDI’s AIDA range are adding a touch of European style to the new Manchester HQ of Ticketmaster, the world’s leading agency for live event bookings.
The office is located at The Cube Building in Manchester , and is the new centre for Ticketmaster’s European operation. Occupying 1500m² of mainly open-plan office space - including training suite, boardroom and administration facilities - t he interior scheme is inspired by the design and layout of Ticketmaster’s USA call centres. A bright and vibrant space, t he offices benefit from the AIDA’s elegant design and even light distribution.
The Ticketmaster office operates 24-hours-a-day, seven-days a week and employee performance is the key to the company’s success. “Lighting plays an important role in setting the required up-beat ambience,” says Sava Mihajlov of CB Richard Ellis. “In addition, with medium to heavy computer use, the lighting scheme needed to meet the requirements of LG3a - as well as enhance staff well-being and performance. I’ve used AIDA in the past, so I was confident it could deliver on both counts – and the finished scheme looks really good!”
The luminaires have been linked together in continuous runs of up to 70 metres and AIDA’s perforated housing ensures a light appearance against the ceiling. In order to give Ticketmaster flexibility in the training suite, the lighting is dimmable offering simple adjustment of light levels for presentation purposes.
The AIDA-2 range offers excellent wide indirect light distribution to suit all types of installation – even for those with lower ceiling heights. Crucially to meet LG3a, this
luminaire design minimizes the hot spots associated with uplighting and is able to be mounted within 400-500mm of the ceiling. The resultant effect is one of outstanding uniformity of light as produced on this project.
